We realize that the roads are a priority for all homeowners. Road maintenance and up-keep is an ongoing issue with our old roads that are not paved, and scheduling of work is at the mercy of our unpredictable mountain weather. We believe that the current capital improvement plan will minimize requirements for ongoing road maintenance and will benefit all of Ashe Lake in the long run. Thank you for your patience with our progress.
Please contact ALPO at 336-649-6226, or ashelakepoa@gmail.com with your concerns, and to advise of any emergency road issues.
New signs have arrived and they have been installed to allow for more vehicles. This area will be cleared in the upcoming weeks and an additional two parking spaces created. That will make a total of 6 parking spaces for use of the Lake!
We have contracted with a beaver trapper and he is working on removing the beavers from the areas where they are causing the most damage. If you see beaver activity or damage please let us know so we can pass it on.
The arms on the exiting kayak racks have been extended to better accommodate larger kayaks. We ask that if you store your kayak at the Community racks that you make sure the kayaks are off the road so as to not be an obstruction to traffic. Thank you Joe Livingston! Completed 7/1/2023.
We've relocated one of our picnic tables down to the dam. This new spot is a favorite of fishermen and picnickers alike. Enjoy some of the best views of the Lake. Thank you Mike! Completed 8/2/23
All this rain caused some tree damage - but our president was right on it and removed this tree from Lakeside and Pritchard. Thanks Joe! Completed 8/4/23
Solar Lights have been installed at the community dock. This allows for paddlers to see the dock in the dark, and safely come ashore. Thank you Bibi! Completed 8/8/23.
This picnic table located right by the community dock, was donated by Annie Smith (long time Ashe Lake resident and advocate) in memory of Mr. Smith. We sincerely thank Annie for this donation to our community. It is often used.
This concrete table and benches were donated by the Perry family. Thank you for your donation. This table is the perfect spot to enjoy coffee or lunch while taking in the great views of Ashe Lake.
This picnic table was generously donated by Bill Morris. Thank you Bill for your kind donation. This spot is much loved by fishermen and picnickers alike.
